Technology Writer
We've started a new publication called The Briefing (see http://the-briefing.com) to serve the research and development community, primarily in the physical sciences and engineering. We're urgently looking for people to write for our front page: we plan to have new stories once or twice a week and will pay $250 per story.
At the moment, as you'll see if you look at the main page and see the previous entries (see link bottom left), we are using a fixed story format and are allowing cutting and pasting from other sources (to which these quotes are linked). We like the format but are not wedded to it, so if you have suggestions on how to change it do let us know.
The site is clearly live and operational, but still in a development phase: you'll find lots of bugs and weirdnesses right now. We plan to properly "launch" the site in January after these technical issues have been ironed out and so are starting to commission pieces right away.
Note that, although we do cover medical technology (devices, imaging equipment, etc.), we do not cover biology, medicine, or pharmacology except in a token way.
The Briefing is a publication of Form and Content Media Limited (http://www.fac-media.org).
Go to http://the-briefing.com to review the site, then click the "Join Us." advertisement at the top of the page to see what we want from a pitch and how to apply.a
